Shirley Henderson, from Forres, Morrey, Scotland, had long since embarked on a lengthy acting career when she stepped into Rowling’s magical world to play the role of Moaning Myrtle, the coquettish poltergeist haunting a Hogwarts bathroom. She went on to star in such films as Frozen, Anna Karenina, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Kelly Macdonald hails from Glasgow and played Helena Ravenclaw, a Hogwarts “house ghost,” in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. She has enjoyed an extensive acting career spanning two and a half decades, appearing in No Country for Old Men, Finding Neverland, and (along with her compatriot and Harry Potter colleague Shirley Henderson) Anna Karenina.
