Moira Anderson

Moira Anderson – (The Scottish female name of Moira comes from the Gaelic name of
Moire and means “star of the sea”

Moira Anderson is a famous Scottish Soprano Singer. She got her education at Lenzie Academy and then went on to quickly establish herself at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. She would then go on to get her big break in media after auditioning successfully at the BBC. She got a job on the radio program called Can’t Help Singing where she did sing with lots of notables from the world of opera. She would go on to make many other TV appearances and host her own TV show. She has performed at the London Palladium and recorded numerous songs with Decca Records.

Lemonescent

Lemonescent – (The name of Shonagh is a variant of Shona and Shona is from the Gaelic
name of Seonag that means Joan. Shona means “God is gracious”

Lemonescent is a famous Scottish female girl group of singers that was formed in 2002. This all girl band was made up of Lisa Rose, Nikki MacLachlan, Sarah Cassidy, Shonagh Strachan, Leona Skimming, and Emma Cassidy. Their first single called “Beautiful” was released on June 17, 2002 and they worked with the recording labels Supertone and Universal. Some of their other singles included “Help Me Mama” in 2003 and “Unconditional Love” in 2003. They also recorded an album of the same name in 2003.
